I really don’t mind it, but I was curious if anyone knew if this has a concrete answer (like in tournaments or somewhere in a different rulebook) or at least what the general rule is regarding this. Predecessor of Rivals for Catan, out of print. I’d imagine that you can since I don’t think anything says you can’t, but my group plays such that you would have to buy either both at once or only the first. I’ve looked around a lot and I can’t find anything about it. In this scenario, would you be allowed to build 1 development card, check it so see if it’s a knight, and then decide if you want to build another one? Or do you have to build both at the same time? This way, you can keep all of the cards in one place and easily grab them when you need them. A good place to keep them is in a storage box or a tray that has dividers. So, you’d rather save your leftover sheep, stone, and wheat than draw a second development card. Whichever way you choose to organize the Catan building cost cards, be sure to put them in a place where they will be easy to find and grab when you need them. It wouldn’t win get you 10VP immediately but no one else has any knights played, so you would feel comfortable with just playing the 3 for now. Let’s say you have 2 sheep, 2 stone, 2 wheat, with a pair of knights already played and you’re hunting for a third knight to get largest army.
